What a day tomorrow will be. People actually get to choose whether they prefer living a life in fear - in a society of mass hysteria. Or, they can choose a life of optimism - of possible conflict resolution and bad-habit reforms.

It absolutely astonishes me to no f-ing end the number of people that support fear and mass-hysteria. Witch-hunts. McCarthyism. Inquisitions. Purification. The spread of democracy by way of the gun. The un-asked for "liberation" of a people by forceful occupation.

Yup - quite a day tomorrow. A Brave New World.

Tomorrow we see if this is actually the true face of modern America. Tomorrow we see ourselves naked in the mirror. Tomorrow we wake up, or simply go back to sleep, only to fall deeper into the nightmare.

Tomorrow - you decide. So ask yourself - what are you afraid of? What are your parents afraid of? Will you get on a plane that might explode? Will you or your parents lose their pension or retirement funds? Will prices skyrocket? Who maybe controls these factors? Who is thinking about you? I mean, who is really thinking about your "security"? And what the hell does that even mean? How do you even measure such a thing? Through body counts in foreign lands? After how many 19yr old american boys die in a desert will you then feel, yes, I have reached optimum security. I can finally pilot my Escalade to Home Deopt with a sound mind. How is such a victory measured in a War on Terror.

Is the war on Terror or Terrorism? Terrorism is one thing - but if it's a war on Terror itself, you're better off trying to solve a problem like Maria. How do you stop a wave upon the sand - how do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?

So, how do you solve a problem like
Maria?

I think the answer is always guns. If Capt. Von Trapp had just put a damn bullet in Maria's head from the get go - we could have bypassed all the messy terror of children covorting in treetops dressed in curtains.

I'm working on a short story about The Virgin Marty.

The first man to be blessed with immacualte conception. Now THAT, my friends, is really a miracle story.
