If you read here, you may or may not know about my love of dance fighting. That wonderfully American art of interpretating the strife of gang fights through the elegant gift of dance.
Well, I've taken to writing an entire dance-fight musical. It's a stage adaptation of the 1979 Michael Hill classic The Warriors, the story of a NY gang from Brooklyn, trapped in the Bronx with 20-miles of rival gang turf between them and home. Will they make it home?
It's going to be like Kubrick's Clockwork Orange meets Scorsese's Gangs of New York, but with a spalsh of MJ's Beat It video.
I won't rest until I see "The Warriors" shinning larger than life on a marquee on the Great White Way.
