With a Little Help From My Friends
in 1993 I heard about The Information Super Highway, but the words meant nothing to me. It was a phantom, intangible concept - like "War on Terror".

I think back then though, what I envisioned an Information Super Highway to be was what is today nothing more than a small microcosmos of the internet - the Wikipedia.

With that said, I direct your attention today to this entry:

I think the thing I like most about this idea is that, named or not, there really is a fifth Beatle.

This gives me comfort for some reason. It's like Toto pulling back the curtain on Oz.

Maybe, not through the efforts of any one person, the Beatles needed a collective Fifth Beatle. In other words, it's reassuring to know that
no man is an island - not even the Beatles. (...okay, for that quote to apply, you have to think of the Beatles as a singular entity, not four people.)

So when you watch Ferris Bueller and he says that John Lennon says, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." you kinda have to remember that John Lennon was a lying Long Hair.
