Remember this golden-mane wonder? The John Tesh of MTV? He maintains this blog where he dishes on all things political or newsworthy from high in his pearly dutch tower (he's an ex-pat turned dutch).

Anyway, there's this section on his site where he gossips about all the junk he observed in his MTV years. You just click on "The Stories" and then choose a letter of the alphabet and he bitches about all these celebrities. If you click on Billy Idol, you can hear catty Adam Curry tell all about Downtown Julie Brown whoring herself all over Billy. Try to hit up "M" at the least and read about MJ getting his pants Windexed or Adam getting high with Madonna in Amsterdam.

It's a funny way to pass some internet time.

Mr. Curry also provides links to other sites of interest.

Not to beat a dead horse - but that Dean/Iowa speech? Someone made a little video showing Dean's "unpresidential attitude" versus George W's very presidential attitude. It's worth checking out if you've been following all this hoopla.

It was on the Dean video site that I realized how bizarre things can get when they start combining their personal interests - and subsequently find others with the exact same interest combinations and band together on the internet. Case in point - a website specifically for Howard Dean supports who happen to be raging Harry Potter fanatics. WTF?

I have nothing against either interest - but are they really two great tastes that taste great together? I mean, we're not talking about chocolate and peanut butter here.

Just to give you an idea of what Seattle is like (or my neighborhood at the very least) here's what I saw today in the local Post Office.

Where all the forms are kept for Delivery Confirmation, Registered Mail, Change of Address, etc, they also keep the forms for men to register with Selective Service (read: the Draft). It's basically a call to arms for all men aged 18-25 that aren't in the military in a nice little pile on a counter.

Below that pile however, someone has taped a conspicuous label reading, "RESIST!". Gotta love Seattle. It's just little things like that that abound here.
